The Thistle Club of Scottish Country Dancing,affiliated to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in Scotland,is located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. On Monday and Wednesday evenings we join together to dance,
learn and enjoy the finer points of:
- Scottish Country dance (beginners and advanced)
- Scottish Highland dance (beginners and advanced)
- Scottish Traditional music
Our dancing season is from the first week of September till the last week in June.
Also during the year a number of "Day schools" are given followed by an evening Social or Ball. These events are visited by Scottish dancers from all over Europe, and in turn many
of our club members visit schools and socials organized by other groups throughout Europe.
Scottish Country Dancing for a toe-tapping, fun for all and most enjoyable time.

De Thistle Club danst op karakteristieke vrolijke en stemmige Schotse muziek. Deze vereniging richt zich op Scottish Country Dancing, groepsdansen waarbij uiteenlopende figuren worden gedanst, afgewisseld met indrukwekkende Highland Dancing, dansen die vroeger gebruikt werden om overwinningen te vieren.

Folk dances from around the world like the Tango, Flamenco and Scottish dances have been growing in popularity in recent years, and not without reason. They are enthusiastic expressions of tradition that keep both young and old on their toes. The Thistle Club of Scottish Country Dancing in Eindhoven has been honouring Scottish dancing traditions for many years.
The Thistle Club dances to both lively and sedate Scottish music. It focuses on Scottish Country Dancing, in which groups dance a variety of figures, alternating these with impressive Highland Dancing, formerly performed as victory celebrations.
